Link and Think will be featured this evening at 7:45 PM Central Time in a live segment on CNN Headline News.

Submissions by participating sites are coming in rapidly. Apologies for the delay in getting everyone added to the Participants directory. The site count on the main page is correct, however.

TODAY IS WORLD AIDS DAY. The Participants directory will be updated throughout the day. Please take a few moments to discover what is on the minds of this year's Link and Think participants.

Link and Think was featured yesterday as a "Hip Click", along with other HIV/AIDS-related sites, in USA Today's entertainment and culture weblog.

Several reminder e-mails were returned due to incorrect or malformed addresses. Please be sure you provide a valid e-mail address when signing up to participate, or we will be unable to contact you with details about the project and a reminder next year.

It's Thanksgiving Day in America and we have something to be thankful for indeed. The spam attack and related headaches that had kept us from updating the site count and directory has abated. All submitted sites are now listed appropriately. 155 sites and counting! SPREAD THE WORD!

November 22, 2003
We're spending the weekend clearing the backlog of sites that have signed up and adding them to the Participants directory. Spread the word! Link and Think 2003 is at 117 participating sites and growing.

November 12, 2003
Hosted versions of the Link and Think Images will be made available next week for the benefit of those who cannot store graphics on their own servers (e.g. Blogspot users). Thanks to everyone who has signed up so far; the directory will be updated soon!

After more than a few technical glitches and a run-in with that old friend "human error", Link and Think 2003 is underway. Welcome!

The Personal Publishing Communities Respond on World AIDS Day
Monday, December 1, 2003

What: Link and Think is an observance of World AIDS Day in the personal web publishing communities. The project involves hundreds of webloggers, journalers, diarists and other personal website publishers, each linking to resources about HIV/AIDS or publishing personal stories about how the AIDS pandemic has affected them. Learn more About Link and Think.

When: World AIDS Day, Monday, December 1, 2003

Who: Anyone who publishes a personal weblog, diary, journal, blog, newspage, E/N site or other frequently updated personal website is invited and encouraged to Participate.

How: On December 1, use your weblog to publish links to resources about HIV/AIDS, to news articles about new research and treatment protocols, to works of art created by people living with AIDS, to organizations working to eradicate the disease, or to other websites your readers might find useful in educating themselves about AIDS. If you publish a journal or diary, tell a story about how AIDS has affected you and those you love or recall how a friend confronted an HIV diagnosis or how you feel about ideas such as works exchange programs or frank sex education or a million other topics. It's up to you!

Where: On the web, of course, and in the real world too! Link to cool sites. Think about how AIDS affects you. React to the threat of AIDS around the world. Act by getting involved with a local AIDS service organization.

Why: Because AIDS is not over and because you can make a difference. Every weblog, journal and personal site on the web has a different audience, a collection of friends, family and peers who look to it for information important to its publisher. Focus on AIDS for one day -- World AIDS Day -- and help spread information about the disease, its treatment, those we have lost and those who survive. Because AIDS is not over and because you can make a difference.
